“Substack Sunday” by Frankie June

Dad’s Song of the Day, Sept. 21, 2025

So, why have I selected this obscure song by a largely unknown artist who has less than a thousand followers a month?

Well, the reason is the title: “Substack Sunday” is my cheeky way of letting you know that “Dad’s Song of the Day” is now on Substack, which means it’s available for the whole world to see (not that anyone is clamouring for it).

I’ll have some bugs to work out so please check your email inbox and confirm that it’s arrived and looks okay, with the proper Spotify link and link back to the DSOTD Substack page.

All of the other 20 DSOTDs are already posted, so we can always look back and see what silly shit I was thinking about.

As for “Substack Sunday”, it’s actually a cute little tune and one that I’m likely to be listening to over again. This young performer, Frankie June, has a lovely, jazzy essence and some pretty cool and humorous songs and I’m rooting for her. So take a listen and help her get her numbers up!
